jumpsuit

Azzedine Alaïa, (French, 1940-)

Trained as a sculptor, Alaïa’s body-conscious clothing excels at emphasizing the sex appeal of women. The butterflies on this form-fitting cat suit further accentuate the curves of the female form, expanding to conform to the shape of each individual woman.

(Marilyn Glass, Los Angeles, California); purchased by the Indianapolis Museum of Art in 2010.
