Possibly (V.B. Galleries, New York, New York);{1} George Henry Alexander Clowes, Indianapolis, Indiana; on long-term loan to the Indianapolis Museum of Art since 1971; given to the Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields in 2018.

{1} George Henry Alexander Clowes made at least one important purchase from the V.B. Galleries in New York, New York, so perhaps the provenance of this silk carpet is identical. Van Baarn, Ltd.” specializing in antique tapestries, paintings, furniture and works of Art; see “Front Matter,” Burlington Magazine (March 1938): vi.)
