Mrs. Hillis Howie, Indianapolis, Indiana;{1} given to the Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields in 1982. {1} Likely collected by Hillis L. Howie [1903-1982], a teacher at the Orchard School of Indianapolis and Scoutmaster for Troop 18 of the Boy Scouts. Howie established the annual Prairie Trek in 1926 which leads scouts on camping and hiking expeditions through the American Southwest. His wife was Elizabeth Howie nee Marshall.
