Colonel Jeff W. Boucher Collection
Colonel Jeff W. Boucher [1915-1994], Alexandria, Virginia; given to Indianapolis Museum of Art in 2000
Colonel Boucher's favorite piece among all the pieces in his collection was this small table cover. Several features, including the dominant color of violet-brown in the field, the red-and-blue checked woolen selvage and the ivory rays along the sides of the field are often found in rugs from Western Afghanistan.
