The first character remains unidentified, and we have not attempted to translate the text.
In seal script the shapes of the characters emphasize verticality. The lines are of even width and frequently curved. The ends of the lines are gently rounded (this is referred to as “hidden tip”). This type of script is ideally suited for use on seals (or “chops”) because of its balanced structure and air of formality.
