The artist gave the painting to Bob Abbott of Taos in 1915; it was purchased by Otto Noeding in 1972; it had been loaned to Jane Hiatt in Taos in 1965 for a retrospective show on the Taos painters; it was purchased by Harrison Eiteljorg and donated to the IMA in 1973; there is a letter of authentication signed by Mrs. Bob Abbott dated 1972
