Dress

Krizia, Designer (Italian, 1933-) Krizia, Manufacturer (Italian)

Innovative contemporary designers, Krizia, Issey Miyake and Mary McFadden experimented extensively with the ancient process of pleating. This pleated dress, made with a glittering metallic textile, softly defines the body’s contours, while the rigid pleats provide an architectural presence.

(Vintage Fashion, Inc., Phoenix, Arizona); purchased by the Indianapolis Museum of Art in 2010.
