William J. Forsyth (American, 1854-1935)


This still life is painted with Forsyth's deft brushwork and dramatic flair for color.

Forsyth was a member of Indiana's impressionist painters known as the Hoosier Group.

The artist was the primary instructor at the Herron Art School in Indianapolis for almost 30 years.
