These two portraits are made of eight photographs. On the left, the protagonist holds two pairs of shoes, flanked by red text naming the days of a business week and a list of hopeful actions: "believe, hold, cling." In the second panel, the shoes have been dropped, the days are out of order, and the verbs have been exchanged for others, less positive: "faint, collapse, fall."
