Slacks (For Day Suit)

Halston, Designer (American, 1932-1990)

In 1970, Halston was influenced by Issey Miyake's use of Ultrasuede in his collections. Halston started using the fabric and revolutionized the industry. Ultrasuede was practical because it was machine washable and wrinkle-resistant.

The Ultrasuede day suit was a staple in almost every woman's wardrobe.
