Oliver Hazard Perry Throck Morton [4 August 1823 - 1 November 1877]. {1} Mrs. Laura Morton Santerelli, Boston, Massachusetts; given to the John Herron Art Institute, Indianapolis, Indiana, now the Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields, on 17 March 1942. {1} Oliver Morton was a U.S. Republican Party politician from Indiana. He served as the 14th Governor of Indiana during the American Civil War, and was a stalwart ally of President Abraham Lincoln.
