Stylized birds such as peacocks, roosters and mythical birds appear frequently on Baluchi weavings. Six of the peacocks in this piece have been outlines in white. The odd one in the middle of the top row has only its feathers highlighted, which adds a charming uniqueness to the piece.
The saturated blue indigo background and the fine velvety sheen of this piece are other outstanding features of this rug.
