- While Louise Moore poses in profile, her pet turns to the viewer, its perky ears paralleling the elaborate hairstyle of its mistress. This portrait medallion was one of five by Scudder purchased by France’s Musée du Luxembourg in the early 1900s, a singular honor for any living artist.
