Probably once owned by Yu-t'an Lo [1915-1980] {1}. Professor Irving Lo [1922-2005], Saint Peter, Minnesota {2}; given to the Indianapolis Museum of Art by Professor Lo's wife, Lena Lo. {1} Irving Lo mentioned that his brother is probably responsible for the removed name in the 1903 colophon written on the mounting that is probably by Zheng Xiaoxu [1860-1938] because of fears during the Cultural Revolution. {2} Professor Lo brought it with him when he left Fujian via Shanghai to U.S. in 1947.
